Sharing Your Faith

One of the ways we continue to follow Jesus is to make disciples.

Part of this journey is sharing our faith with those around us.

We believe this is best done in the context of relationship, rather than duty.

Below are steps to help share the Good News of Jesus in our present culture:

  • Live It Out First

    •  Let your everyday life be your loudest testimony.
    • Show kindness, integrity, and grace in your work, online presence, and relationships.
    • People often notice the difference before they ever hear your words.
  • Build Real Relationships

    • Take time to get to know people beyond surface-level.
    • Listen well, care genuinely, and look for natural openings in conversations.
    • Faith-sharing is most effective in the context of trust.
  • Share Your Story, Not Just Theology

    • Use personal experiences of how faith has made a difference in your life.
    • Keep it short, relatable, and authentic (e.g., “I used to struggle with __, but my faith in Jesus has given me ___”).
    • Stories are hard to argue with—they’re lived truth.
  • Keep It Simple And Clear

    • In today’s busy world, avoid over-complication.
    • Focus on the essentials: God loves us, Jesus saves us, and faith brings new life.
    • Use everyday language, not church jargon.
  • Engage Tnrough Modern Platforms

    • Share encouraging verses, testimonies, or stories on social media.
    • Use digital tools like text, video calls, or group chats to invite people into conversation.
    • Be creative—short videos, blogs, even memes can spark curiosity.
  • Invite, Don't Impose

    • Extend a warm invitation (to coffee, church, Bible study, or simply to talk more).
    • Respect their pace—faith is a journey, not a sales pitch.
    • Leave space for the Holy Spirit to work in their heart.
  • Pray Consistently

    • Pray for the people in your circle by name.
    • Ask God for the right words and opportunities.
    • Trust Him to do what you cannot.

When It's Time

When someone is at the point of considering following Jesus, the best approach is to let God’s Word speak with clarity and simplicity.

Here are key Scriptures often shared to guide someone toward that decision:

    • John 3:16 (NLT/NKJV)“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
    • Romans 5:8“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
    • Romans 3:23“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
    • Romans 6:23“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
    • John 14:6“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.”
    • 1 Peter 3:18“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.”
    • Romans 10:9–10“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
    • Acts 16:31“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved—you and your household.”
    • 2 Corinthians 5:17“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
    • John 1:12 “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.”
