Loving Our Community together

At Newlife, faith isn’t just for Sundays — it’s for the everyday. We believe God calls us to love our neighbors, serve our city, and bring light wherever there’s need. Jeremiah 29:5-7 reminds us to build, plant, and seek the peace of the place we live — because when our city thrives, we do too.

What Difference This Makes

  • Families who feel rescued in times of crisis.

  • Neighbors who find friendship, meals, hope.

  • Children who begin school with supplies and joy instead of stress.

  • Our church growing more outward-focused, more engaged, more loving.

Let's love Longview, hands and hearts, together.

Below are ways we are pouring into Longview & beyond - and how you can jump in too.

Clothing MINISTRY

Our Clothing Ministry is a great place to get involved in serving and loving our community.  Each Thursday we give away clothes to those in need.  On average we supply about 300 families a month with clothes and home goods as we fill this vital niche of those who have suffered loss in fires, water damage, or are in transition.

Newlife Fish Ministry

This is a great cooperative ministry within Cowlitz County.

Our volunteers dispense food to those who are struggling with hunger, loss, economics and transition.

We partner with 18 churches in the Longview area to provide 100 people a week with meat, eggs, milk,  and other needed food items.

Our volunteers serve with joy and compassion to impact our community.

Food is given the 2nd Thursday of each month. map

Newlife Jail Ministry

One of the simple Biblical teaching revealed by Jesus was to visit those in prison/jail.  Despite the circumstances or the past history, Jesus is still the good news for those in tough seasons.

Every last Sunday of the month we take a team of evangelizing, preaching, teaching volunteers to our local jail to provide hope, guidance, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ for our local inmates.

Collecting School Supplies

We take time each start of the school year to pray for

our local schools, teachers and students.

We also want to be a blessing to those who find

themselves struggling with the economy.

We collect school supplies and deliver them a few

days prior to school starting so that kids will have

the necessary supplies to start the year off right.

When summer is coming to an end, plan to do your

part and join us in being generous!

Go Fourth

Each year we get the incredible opportunity to be part of

our summer community city-wide event.

For three days we meet at Lake Sacajewea Park here in Longview to serve food, build relationship and keep in touch with the community around us.

We always end up having a great time, lots of laughs and meeting new people.

You don't want to miss out on this time in July.

Fall Fun Fest

Every October around the end of the month our church transforms into a whimsical, safe, fun and dry place for our local children to join us for costumes, carnival style games, inflatable bounce houses, snowcones and lots of fun!

We have a large group of volunteers who do set-up/clean-up, and those who help supervise the games and distribute candy.  Will join us this October?  Mask

Compassion Kits

While we cannot possibly stop the homeless issue; we can be people that stand in the gap and act in mercy and compassion.

We have a list of items that are routinely in need of by our local homeless/transient population.

Our strategy is that each of us have one gallon ziplock bags ready in our vehicles to meet the need of those who are currently without.  Here is our list of suggested items:

Toothpaste - toothbrust - dental floss - Q-tips - wet wipes - Neosporine - bandaids - cotton balls - comb/brush - soap - shampoo - lotion - feminine hygiene products - socks - water bottle - soft granola/protein bars - gloves - hats
