You don’t have to have your life figured out before coming to Jesus.
He invites you to come as you are, trust Him, and begin a new life with Him.
- Know that God loves you - God made you and wants a relationship with you. His love is why Jesus came: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son" (John 3:16)
- Recognize your need for Him - all of us have sinned and fallen short of God's standard (Romans 3:23). We cannot earn our way back to God by being good enough. We need His forgiveness.
- Believe on Jesus - Jesus died for our sins and rose again. When you place your full trust in Him, you receive the forgiveness and new life He offers. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).
- Turn toward Him - Jesus callus us to repent, which means turning from our sin and turning toward God (Acts 3:19). You dont have to becomne perfect first. Following Jesus begins with trusting Him enough to take the next step.
- Tell Him you're ready to follow - you can talk to Jesus in your own words. If you're unsure what to say, you could pray: Jesus, I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I need your forgiveness. I'm turing to You and putting my trust in You. Please lead my life and help me follow You. Amen.
